Heritage Counseling Center offers outpatient therapy facilitated by sensitive, skilled licensed professional counselors trained in evidence-based interventions and practices.
Our therapists draw from a wide range of experience with issues such as depression, anxiety, crisis, trauma, grief, post-traumatic stress, bipolar-related concerns, and ADHD.
What to Expect
Your first session will last approximately 45 minutes, during which time you'll be invited to share with your therapist what is bringing you to therapy and your goals for the therapy session.
Your therapist may ask questions concerning thoughts, feelings, or behaviors that are bringing you to therapy in order to tailor interventions to you.
Depression and Anxiety
Depression can dramatically impact our lives, and the staff of Heritage Counseling Center welcomes you to reach out for help if any of these symptoms have been part of your experience nearly every day for the past two weeks.

Anger & Conflict
Conflict is a normal part of relationship, and anger is a natural emotion felt by all people. However, when it becomes a dominant emotion, it can be especially difficult to bear. If you're struggling with anger, the therapists at Heritage Counseling Center can assist you with:
Processing and addressing feelings of anger and frustration
Understanding triggers to angry feelings
Resolving conflict from the past, including childhood trauma
Addressing behavior patterns fueled by angry emotions
Addiction & Compulsive Behavior
We provide outpatient counseling for individuals who have the intention to recover from the problems caused and/or made worse by addiction.

Your therapist will focus on the first 3 of the 12 steps, considering with you physiological, cognitive, behavioral and spiritual aspects of authentic recovery from addictive and compulsive thinking and behavior.

Grieving is a process that can sometimes be difficult to bear. You don't have to go through it alone. The compassionate therapists at Heritage Counseling Center are here to support you through every stage of the grieving process.

Eating Disorders
Eating disorders include anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, and binge-eating disorder. Indications of an eating disorder are:
Chronic loss of apetite
Eating far more or less than would be expected for one's height and weight
Inducing vomiting after eating
Excessive exercise after eating
At their cores, these disorders are about far more than food. They can be a symptom of unprocessed grief, trauma, abuse or neglect and often involve intense and powerful emotions.
Treatment for eating disorder is complex and may include other members in a professional treatment team, such as medical doctors, registered dieticians, therapists, and psychiatrists.
